Job description
Make impact. Be human. Stay curious.
Who we are
AI is transforming the world – and we’re just getting started. With data growing exponentially, the need for smart, impact-driven minds has never been greater. At Rewire, we don’t just follow trends in Data & AI – we shape them.
If you're passionate about solving real challenges and creating tangible outcomes, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! With your innovative mindset and expertise, you're perfectly poised to help shape the future of Rewire, leveraging data and AI to develop cutting-edge solutions.
We’re on a mission to grow Rewire’s business by leaps and bounds, and we’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to help us reach our goals. You’ll have the incredible opportunity to engage in data & AI projects, collaborate closely with experienced Cloud, Software, Data and AI Engineers, and gain hands-on experience on real client work.
You’ll build the backbone of our cloud platforms and our clients’ cloud environments by designing secure, scalable infrastructure and automating everything you touch. You’ll explore new cloud technologies, move ideas from architecture to production, and turn complex requirements into reliable systems – all while deepening your cloud expertise and shaping Rewire’s technical leadership.
Be part of a dynamic team of data & AI talents who tackle meaningful challenges, build smart solutions, and have fun along the way. Wanna join the ride?
Where you’ll make a difference
Build cloud foundations that power digital transformations – architect and implement the core infrastructure, platforms, and services that enable scalable products in AWS, Azure, or GCP
Collaborate across disciplines – work closely with fellow engineers, AI Experts and business transformation leaders to deliver production-ready cloud platforms that create real impact for our clients
Enable AI and event-driven systems at scale – deploy CI/CD pipelines, serverless architectures, networking, security, and the infrastructure that ML/AI workloads run on
Develop clean, reusable infrastructure code – using Terraform, Python, and modern cloud tooling to automate everything from environments to deployments
Translate architecture into business value – explain cloud decisions clearly to stakeholders so teams understand why a design matters, not just how it works
What makes us the right choice for you
Step into a role where you contribute ideas, drive innovation, and directly influence how organizations modernize their cloud, automate systems, and scale digital products
Deepen your cloud engineering skills – work across AWS, Azure, and GCP, design real infrastructures, and grow fast through hands-on projects, real architecture challenges, and close mentorship from an experienced cloud engineering team
Benefit from personal coaching – receive regular guidance and feedback from experienced professionals who are committed to your growth
Advance your own skills through GAIN®, our certified education and training portfolio, and extend your impact by sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm with others
Work alongside clients as a valued team member – building relationships based on trust, shared goals, and face-to-face collaboration whenever it matters most
Thrive in a culture that values autonomy, curiosity, and bold thinking – where your voice matters, experimentation is encouraged, and your ideas turn into impactful solutions that are recognized and rewarded
Join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team that’s ambitious, collaborative, and just the right amount of nerdy – where learning and laughter go hand in hand
Job requirements
What makes you shine
You’re a motivated problem solver and a curious learner – with a passion for building and scaling cloud platforms that power real AI and data solutions. You’ll thrive with us if you bring:
A Master’s degree with excellent results in a quantitative or STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or other engineering or technical disciplines)
Practical experience through internships or projects, or up to three years of professional experience – showing your passion for (cloud) technology and your ability to deliver reliable, production-ready cloud infrastructure and platforms
Strong developer skills – Git is your standard, and writing high-quality, maintainable code is important to you
A hands-on, growth mindset – you take ownership of your work, embrace challenges, and dive confidently into new cloud technologies or complex technical problems
Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit – you enjoy working in teams, explaining technical concepts clearly, and supporting a positive, inclusive work environment
Fluency in English (written and spoken), with Dutch being a plus, and willingness to travel regularly to client sites
Where you’ll work
Most projects require working onsite at client locations across the Netherlands, Germany, and occasionally other parts of Europe for several days each week.
When not onsite with clients, you’re warmly welcome to work from our Amsterdam office or from home. Rewire’s Amsterdam office is more than just a building – it’s a space designed to foster problem-solving, collaboration, innovation, and, simply put, where we build the future.

In their own words
"Working as a cloud engineer at Rewire means taking ideas and shaping them into reliable, scalable cloud platforms. I move from designing architectures and trying out new approaches to building and running them in production. The variety in this work keeps things challenging and allows me to continuously grow as an engineer. Alongside client projects, we also develop and refine internal cloud automations, always looking for smarter and more efficient ways to work. And best of all, I get to do this with a great group of people!" – Thomas Bennis, Senior Cloud Engineer at Rewire
